Difference in Search Results Between Global Search and List View Search

Please keep in mind that list views have a limit of 2,000 records. If the records targeted by a list view exceed 2,000, they are displayed based on the sorted order, and any records beyond the 2,000th mark will not be shown. Because the [Search this list] function only searches within the 2,000 records currently visible in the list view, while Global Search searches all records across the entire org, discrepancies in search results may occur. 

Lösning

If a list view contains more than 2,000 records and you cannot find the expected results, please adjust your list view filters as follows:

  • Refine the list view search criteria and reduce the number of displayed records to fewer than 2,000.

  • Explicitly set the list view search criteria, including the search keywords.
