Tasks Linked to Record After Creation Do Not Appear Recent Activity

If a Record is not specified in the Related To (WhatId) field when a Task is created, the Task does not appear in the Recent Activity list for that Record, even if it is linked later. This is the expected behavior.

Lösung

Consider using the Activity Timeline component instead of Recent Activity. The Activity Timeline displays all activities currently linked to the Record, regardless of when the link was established.

The difference in behavior is as follows:

  1. If the Record is linked during Task creation

    • Appears in Recent Activity.

    • Appears in Activity Timeline.

  2. If the Record is linked after Task creation

    • Does not appear in Recent Activity.

    • Appears in Activity Timeline.
