New Values Inactive After Editing Campaign Member Status

Beschreibung

Resolve the issue where editing a Member Status in the Campaign Member Statuses related list results in the new value being inactive. Includes steps to manually activate values.

Lösung

Why This Happens: When you edit a [Member Status] within the [Campaign Member Statuses] related list, the new value is registered as an "Inactive Value" in the "Status" picklist field of the Campaign Member object, while the original value remains as an "Active Value."

As a result, the newly edited value does not automatically become "Active." Since inactive values do not appear in the search criteria for reports or list views, you must manually activate the value if you wish to use it for filtering.

If you have modified an existing Member Status in the related list, please follow the steps below to manually [Activate] the new value (which will be in the inactive list) and, if necessary, [Deactivate] the previous value.

1. Navigate to [Setup] | [Object Manager].

2. Select the [Campaign Member] object.

3. Select [Fields & Relationships] from the left navigation and click on the [Status field].

4. In the "Status" Picklist Values section, locate the value that became "Inactive" after your edit under the Inactive Values list.

5. Click [Activate] next to that value.

6. If necessary, click [Deactivate] next to the old (original) value to remove it from the active list.

7. If the original value is no longer needed, click Deactivate next to it to remove it from the active list.
