Experience Cloud: How to verify the email address of an external user

This article explains four procedures to verify external users' email addresses in Experience Cloud and how to check the verification status.

Lösung

To mark an external user's email address as verified, please perform one of the following four procedures:

 

  • Methods to verify the email address
    Set a password via the New Member Welcome Email (*) 
    (*) You must enable Send welcome email in Workspaces | Administration | Emails for the target Experience Cloud site.

 

  • Update the email address as an external user Access the Experience Cloud site as the external user and change the email address.
    (*) The setting "Require email confirmations for email address changes (applies to users in Experience Builder sites)" under [Setup] > [Identity Verification] must be enabled in advance.

  • Perform Identity Verification via verification code when logging in The external user logs in to the Experience Cloud site and completes the identity verification process using a verification code. 
    (*) A screen requesting a verification code will appear at each login until verified.

How to check the email verification status

  1. Go to Setup | Users.
  2. Click Edit next to the view you want to use.
  3. Add User Verified Email to Selected Fields and click Save.
