In Salesforce Field Service, a Resource Absence record with the [Non-Availability] record type may not appear on the Gantt chart, even after the record has been created and saved.
When a Non-Availability absence is not displayed on the Gantt, the time slot is treated as available by the system. This means the optimizer or dispatcher may still assign Service Appointments to the absent resource during that period, which can cause scheduling errors.

When a Non-Availability absence is not displayed on the Gantt, dispatchers may not be aware that the resource is absent during that period. The optimizer may assign Service Appointments to that resource, resulting in scheduling errors and missed appointments. Ensuring the [Approved] field is correctly set prevents this scenario.
