This is the solution for the issue where [Non-Availability] resource absences do not appear on the Gantt chart in Field Service. This Knowledge Article explains the steps to verify the [Approved] field on the Resource Absence object and the configuration settings.
Resource Absence records with the [Non-Availability] record type may not appear on the Gantt chart. Please note that in this state, the time slot is considered "available" meaning the resource could still be assigned to Service Appointments.
This issue occurs when the following two conditions are met:
The [Approved] checkbox on the Resource Absence object is not checked.
The "Activate Approval confirmation on resource absences" setting is enabled in Field Service Settings.
Depending on your requirements, please perform one of the following:
Use a Flow or Approval Process to ensure the [Approved] field on the Resource Absence object is automatically checked.
Disable the "Activate Approval confirmation on resource absences" setting under Field Service Settings | Scheduling | General Logic.
