Explains that the recipient picklist options (e.g. Internal Users Only) on Chatter posts cannot be customized, and provides workarounds using mentions.
It is not possible to customize the content of the drop-down menu (picklist) for selecting recipients when posting to Chatter.
The two default options, such as "[Organization Name] (Internal users only)" and "All users with access," are fixed standard features.
You cannot remove them or add new recipients through settings.
If you wish to share information with specific users or groups, consider one of the following methods:
Mention the specific users individually within the body of the post.
Create a Chatter group containing the users and mention that Chatter group.
To ensure users receive notifications when a Chatter group is mentioned, each member must set their group notification settings to Every Post in their personal settings.
