The customer encountered an issue where Tableau Server alternated between degraded mode and working mode every minute after installing the Independent Gateway (TSIG) on a Linux environment. The problem persisted despite multiple installations and troubleshooting efforts, and it was later identified that Dynatrace's deep monitoring functionality was interfering with the TSIG configuration.
1. Disable Dynatrace's deep monitoring functionality for the TSIG Apache process.
2. Reapply the TSIG configuration by copying the stub file over to httpd.conf and restarting the Independent Gateway service. Use the following commands:
cp /apps/tableau/tableau_tsig/config/httpd.conf.stub /apps/tableau/tableau_tsig/config/httpd.conf
sudo su - tableau-tsig
systemctl --user restart tsig-httpd
and exit.
