Marketing Cloud Engagement | How to Identify the Sending IP Address Used for Email Sends Using Intelligence Reports

n Marketing Cloud Engagement, you may receive inquiries about which IP address was used to send a specific email. This can be identified using the Pivot Table feature in Intelligence Reports. This article explains how to create a Pivot Table that includes the Email Sender IP dimension, allowing you to check which IP address was used per send job for past email sends.
 
*NOTE*
- Intelligence Reports is available from Pro Edition and above.
- Intelligence Reports is not available in Hyperforce environments of Marketing Cloud Engagement.
Résolution
Follow the steps below to create a Pivot Table that includes the necessary dimensions to extract the sending IP address (Email Sender IP) associated with each Job ID.
  1. Log in to Marketing Cloud Engagement
  2. Hover over the [Analytics Builder] tab at the top and click [Intelligence Reports]
  3. Once the Intelligence Reports screen appears, click the [Pivot Tables] tab
  4. Click [Create Pivot Table]
  5. Click the [+] icon in the [Fields] section of the left configuration panel and add the following dimensions and measurements:
    ※ Optionally, you may also add Email Name and Email Sender Address (the From address used for sending).
    ※ For details on each item, refer to Dimensions and Measurements.
    • Email Job ID
    • Email Sender IP
    • Email Sends
      • Additional fields such as Email Name and Email Sender Address can also be added as needed.
      • For details on each field, refer to Dimensions and Measurements.
  6. If needed, use the [Calendar] icon to specify the time period you want to check (e.g., the past 30 days)
  7. Confirm that data is displayed in the table in the center of the screen and that the IP address corresponding to each job is shown
  8. Click [Save]
