What is a Private Course?

A Private Course is an instructor-led learning experience designed to scale and streamline training for your teams. Private Courses focus on the specific concepts and Salesforce features that matter most to your organization, helping to sharpen skills, drive alignment, and foster team collaboration in a dedicated learning environment. Flexible scheduling allows you to train your team at a time that works best for you, while the private format ensures confidentiality and learning without the distractions of a public setting.

How to purchase a Private Course

To purchase a Private Course, please contact your Account Executive and inquire about Learning Credits, which are required for booking. After acquiring Learning Credits, you’ll redeem them to schedule your Private Course.   

Note: Please submit your Private Course request 3-4 weeks prior to your ideal delivery date to allow us time to schedule an instructor. You can submit the request by logging a case.

For your request please provide the following details:

• Course: Specify the course you’d like to schedule - please review our courses offerings here.
• In-Person/Virtual Format: Will this course be virtual or in-person?
  • If in-person, please provide the full location address
• Preferred Dates and Times: Let us know your preferred schedule to ensure availability.
• Time Zone and Language: Please specify the time zone and the preferred language of delivery.
• Number of Attendees: Share the expected number of participants.
  • Note: Private Courses are priced for 14 attendees. Capacity may extend to 18 participants, depending on the course. Additional fees apply for larger groups.

Once your Private Course is booked, you’ll receive a confirmation email that includes key details, including the date and time of your Private Course. Two weeks before the course, a second email will introduce your instructor and include important information such as the registration link, prework, and computer requirements. This information should be shared with all participants to ensure a smooth and productive learning experience.

What's needed for a Private Course?

To ensure your team gets the maximum value from a Salesforce Private Course, a few key items need to be completed before your Private Course session: 

1. Trailblazer.me Account
All attendees must have a Trailblazer.me account to participate in a Private Course. To sign up for a free Trailblazer.me account, go here and follow the prompts.

2. Self-Registration Link
The course organizer will receive a registration link via email. All attendees need to use the link to self-register for the course, no later than 5 days before the start date of the Private Course. 

3. Prework
To ensure everyone starts with the same foundational knowledge, attendees are asked to complete recommended prework prior to the session. After completing registration, you can review and complete your prework directly from your My Dashboard. 

4. Computer Setup
Some Private Courses include hands-on exercises that require specific system configurations. Participants should review and complete all computer setup requirements in advance to avoid delays during the session. The required computer setup information will be available on the course details page in My Dashboard.

FAQ

Q: How many people can participate in a Private Course?
A: Pricing for most Private Courses is based on a group of 14 attendees. Some courses may accommodate up to 18 attendees, depending on the course type. Please inquire about the maximum capacity when submitting your private course request. NOTE: Additional charges apply for larger groups.

Q: Can I modify the agenda for my Private Course?
A: No, the agenda for Private Courses cannot be modified. Our courses are designed to follow a structured curriculum to ensure a consistent and effective learning experience. 

Q: When does my Private Course start and end each day? 
A: Private Course hours vary by business request. Navigate to your My Dashboard tab to view your Private Course start and end time.

Q: What materials are provided?
Each course includes access to a downloadable eBook, available by selecting the course name under the Scheduled section of your My Dashboard. For some Tableau courses, you'll also need to download a ZIP file containing additional training materials.

Q: Can I modify the duration of my training Private Course? 
A: Private Courses must be delivered on consecutive business days for the number of days specified for the course. Virtual Private Courses may be scheduled across two consecutive weeks but cannot exceed that duration. In-person Private Courses must follow the standard schedule and cannot be extended. 

Q: Can I cancel or reschedule my Private Course?
A: Please review our Cancellation Policy to understand your options.

Q: Can I use my company’s data in the Private Course?
A: No. Trust is Salesforce’s number one value - we do not use or access your company’s data during Private Courses. However, we do encourage conversations about your specific business needs and challenges to drive team alignment and collaboration. 

Can the Private Course be a blended learning experience? 
A: No. Private Courses must be delivered entirely in-person or entirely virtual as we our curriculum is not designed for a blended learning experience.

Q: Is recording the Private Course permitted?
A: No. Recording Private Courses is prohibited.
