You can create Data Streams from Salesforce CRM objects. While some objects are visible out of the box, additional objects may require additional steps to allow the objects to be ingested. Generally speaking, you must follow the steps outlined in Enable Object and Field Permissions for CRM Connections to add permissions to the Data Cloud Salesforce Connector permission set.
Before troubleshooting specific objects, ensure the following baseline is met in the source Salesforce CRM org:
Permissions: The Data Cloud Salesforce Connector permission set must have Read and View All Records access for the object, and Read access for all fields being ingested.
Related Objects: You must often grant Read access to related objects (lookup fields), even if you are not ingesting them. Data Cloud requires this to resolve relationships.
To see Order Product (OrderItem), Order Product Summary Changes (OrderItemSummaryChange), or Opportunity Product (OpportunityLineItem), you must grant permissions to their dependencies.
Requirement: Grant Read access to Products (Product2) and Price Books (Pricebook2) in the Data Cloud Salesforce Connector permission set.
If you receive a "You do not have permission to import records" error or objects are missing:
Object Access: Grant Read and View All Records to the specific object and all related lookup objects.
System Permissions: Enable the following in the Data Cloud Salesforce Connector permission set:
FSC: "Plans and Goals User" and "Access Interest Tags for Financial Services Cloud."
Automotive: "Use Automotive Foundation" and "Use Manufacturing Partner Performance Management."
Verify Installation: In Data Cloud Setup, ensure Salesforce CDP CRM Loyalty is listed under Standard Data Bundles.
Object Permissions: Manually grant the Data Cloud Salesforce Connector permission set access to all objects listed in the Loyalty Management Bundle Data Mapping.
Real-Time Points: To see LoyaltyAggrPointExprLedger, you must first enable Consolidate members’ fixed non-qualifying points in real time in the source org's Loyalty Management settings.
Enable these System Permissions in the Data Cloud Salesforce Connector permission set:
Grantmaking: "Manage Applications and Reviews," "Manage Budgets," "Manage Funding Awards," and "Use Grantmaking."
Public Sector/Regulatory: "Grant users access to Public Sector features".
If the following objects are missing, enable the corresponding System Permission in the Data Cloud Salesforce Connector permission set:
| Missing Object | System Permission to Enable |
| User (Preferences Fields) | "View All Users" or "Manage Users" AND "Run Reports" |
| Organization / FeedItem | "View And Setup Configuration" |
| Assessment | "Allows users to see the assessment objects in the data streams" |
| Benefit / Program | "Programs and Benefits" |
| Einstein Retriever | "Allows users to create, update, and delete models in Einstein Studio" |
| Engagement Interaction | "Service Excellence Platform User" |
| Gift / Fundraising | "Allows users to access Fundraising features" |
| Supplier | "Allow Users access to automotive foundation features" |
| Visit | "Manage Industries Visit" |
| Action Plan, Action Plan Template | "Permission to access the Action Plans feature " |
| Interaction, Interaction Summary | "Interaction Summary User" as well as the Interaction Summary feature enabled |
Ensure "Set Up Group Membership" is completed in the source org.
In the Data Cloud Salesforce Connector permission set, enable the Group Membership system setting.
Grant Read and View All Records to: Account Relationship, Contact Contact Relationship, Party Role Relationship, and Party Relationship Group.
Serialized Products: To ingest the Product2.isSerialized field, you must enable Field Service Settings in the source org and add the field to the Product2 page layout.
To successfully deploy the Service Cloud bundle, ensure:
System Permissions: Enable "View Roles and Role Hierarchy" in the Data Cloud Salesforce Connector permission set.
Support Settings: Enable "Case Feed Actions and Feed Items" and "Email Drafts."
Omni-Channel: Enable "Omni-Channel" in Setup.
Surveys: Complete the "Enable Surveys" setup to expose survey objects.
