In Agentforce Sales (formerly Sales Cloud), users may notice that certain objects are missing from their Set Default Record Types menu in Personal Settings, even though Record Types have been assigned via Permission Sets.
This occurs when the user’s Profile is set to “--Master--” Record Type for that object. When this configuration is used, Salesforce assumes no selection is required and hides the object from the default record type settings.
To make the object appear, the Profile must have explicit Record Types assigned (other than Master).
To resolve this issue, update the Profile to include multiple Record Types:
