Users may encounter the following error when attempting to send an email from a Quote record:
“Email isn’t set up yet. Ask your admin for help.”
This error occurs because Salesforce checks the organization’s Email Deliverability settings before allowing outbound emails. If outbound email access is not enabled at the org level, Salesforce blocks emails from being sent—even though the Email action is visible on the Quote record.
This behavior is expected and is controlled by system configuration rather than user-level settings.
Note:
This issue is not related to user permissions, profiles, or email access on the user record.
To resolve this issue, outbound email access must be enabled in Salesforce.
Navigate to Setup
In the Quick Find box, search for Deliverability
Select Deliverability
Set Access Level to All Email
Click Save
Once Email Deliverability is set to All Email, users will be able to send emails from Quote records successfully, and the error message will no longer appear.
