Data 360: ContentVersion Data Stream

When utilizing the ContentVersion Data Stream along with its related Data Streams, ContentDocument and ContentDocumentLink, there are differences with data ingestion.

 

ContentDocument and ContentDocumentLink support full data uploads upon creation.

 

ContentVersion however only deals with incremental data uploads.

 

This means that if your Data Stream for ContentVersion is created on 2/11/2026 and there are no changes to ContentDocument/ContentDocumentVersion Objects after 2/11/2026 then we would expect the data stream to be empty.

Lösung

If you would like to ingest records for ContentVersion files could be re-uploaded. 

 

Alternatively we have seen success in using Data Loader to simply update a value back to the same value so that the SystemModStamp on a record changes. For example if on ContentDocument/ContentVersion we update the name of the article to have the same name it already has this should update the SystemModStamp and allow for the record to be ingested. 

 

Original Record Name: 'Article About Something'
New Record Name: 'Article About Something'
