When you add a DevOps Data Kit and its dependencies to an Outbound Change Set, the system does not always automatically pull in the associated Field Source Target Relationship components. As these dependencies are left behind, the target org fails to validate the Data Model Object (DMO) relationships, resulting in the deployment error.

To resolve this, the missing relationship component must be manually added to the Outbound Change Set before deploying.

Steps to Fix

Step 1: Identify the Missing Relationship

  1. Check the deployment error message in your Target Org.

  2. Locate and copy the specific relationship number/ID mentioned in the error string (e.g., rel_1768XXXXX3590_end__c).

Step 2: Update the Outbound Change Set

  1. Log into your Source Org and navigate to the Outbound Change Set you are trying to deploy.

  2. In the Change Set Components section, click the Add button.

  3. Click the Component Type dropdown menu and select Field Source Target Relationship.

  4. In the search bar or list, look for the exact relationship number/ID that you copied from the deployment error.

  5. Check the box next to the correct Field Source Target Relationship component and click Add to Change Set.

Step 3: Re-upload and Deploy

  1. Once the component is successfully added, click Upload to send the updated Change Set to your Target Org.

  2. Log into your Target Org, navigate to Inbound Change Sets, and re-run the validation/deployment. The error should now be resolved.
