Salesforce Mobile - Login Flow Not Rendering Using Lightning Runtime and Connected App IP Restrictions

Publiseringsdato: May 11, 2026
Beskrivelse

Symptoms Observed

When a Login Flow configured to "Render Flow in Lightning Runtime" does not appear on mobile devices after authentication, the issue is typically caused by conflicting IP Relaxation settings on the Connected App.

  • Login flow does not launch on mobile devices after user authentication.
  • Users can successfully log into the mobile application, but the post-authentication flow screen does not appear.
  • Issue is isolated to mobile devices only — desktop and browser access works normally.

Key Indicators

  • Login flow works correctly in a desktop browser but fails on mobile.
  • Recent changes were made to Connected App settings, particularly IP Relaxation policies.
  • The "Render Flow in Lightning Runtime" checkbox is enabled on the affected login flow.
Løsning

When a Login Flow configured to "Render Flow in Lightning Runtime" does not render on mobile devices after authentication, the issue is caused by an incompatibility between the Lightning Runtime rendering and relaxed IP Restriction settings on the Connected App. Two workarounds are available.

Workaround 1: Disable "Render Flow in Lightning Runtime" (Quick Fix)

  1. Navigate to: Setup > Identity > Login Flows
  2. Select the affected login flow.
  3. Uncheck the box for "Render Flow in Lightning Runtime".
  4. Save the changes.
  5. Test mobile login.

Outcome: Users can immediately log in and access the flow. Note: The flow renders in Classic view instead of Lightning, so the visual appearance may differ. All functionality remains intact.

Workaround 2: Enforce IP Restrictions on Connected App (Permanent Fix)

  1. Navigate to: Setup > Apps > App Manager
  2. Find and select your Connected App.
  3. Click Manage.
  4. Under IP Relaxation, select "Enforce IP restrictions".
  5. Save the changes.
  6. Re-enable "Render Flow in Lightning Runtime" on your login flow if desired.
  7. Test mobile login.

Outcome: Resolves the issue completely and allows Lightning Runtime rendering to work properly. Note: Requires regression testing to ensure IP restrictions do not block legitimate users. May require configuration of IP ranges for mobile users.
