How to Report on Prompt Generation Count by User

The Prompt Template Builder displays overall generation counts but does not provide a breakdown by individual users. Customers who require user-level analytics for prompt usage can leverage Data Cloud reporting on the GenAIGatewayRequest__dlm data model object.

This article outlines the steps to generate a report that shows prompt generation counts segmented by user.

Follow the steps below to create a user-wise prompt generation report:

  1. Navigate to the Data Cloud app.

  2. Go to Data Model → Objects.

  3. Locate and open the GenAIGatewayRequest__dlm object.

  4. Click Create Report in the top-right corner.

  5. In the report builder:

    • Group the report by User (userId__c).

    • Add Prompt Template Dev Name (promptTemplateDevName__c).

    • Add any additional fields as needed.

  6. Apply a time filter based on your reporting requirement.

  7. Run the report and save it for future use.

This report will provide prompt generation counts broken down by user and prompt template.
