Publish Date: Mar 9, 2026
Description

In Marketing Cloud CloudPages, the Private Domain SKU purchase is no longer required, and customers can now add a domain they have prepared themselves. This article explains the prerequisites on the customer side and the steps to submit a request via the Salesforce Help site.

Resolution

Prerequisites
Before submitting a request to Support, please prepare the domain you wish to add in advance.
(If you are using a subdomain of an existing domain, no preparation is required.)

How to Submit a Request
To add a domain, please open a case via the Salesforce Help site with the following information:

  1. Domain to be added to CloudPages:
    (e.g., cloud.example.com)
  2. MID of the Business Unit to add the domain to:
  3. Should the CloudPages domain be available across the entire Enterprise? (Yes / No):
(Selecting "Yes" will apply the domain at the Enterprise level.)
  4. SSL configuration (Yes / No):

Notes

  • SSL: If CloudPages created with the added domain will be published externally, SSL is required for security. The SSL SKU is a paid license.
  • DNS record update: If the domain is self-hosted, the customer will need to update the DNS records on their end.
  • The information and procedures provided are subject to change without notice. Please be aware of this in advance.
  • For the latest contract terms and SKU details, please contact your Salesforce Account Executive.
