Salesforce is migrating Einstein Conversation Insights (ECI) data, including call transcripts and insights, from the current Activity Platform to the Salesforce Platform (also known as Core). This migration improves platform reliability by providing better data consistency and stability. It also reduces infrastructure complexity by making ECI data natively available to the Salesforce Platform tools and workflows.
What’s Changing
Orgs with ECI enabled before Spring ‘26 are scheduled for migration on a rolling basis starting in Summer ‘26. While the core ECI experience remains the same, admins must take specific steps to ensure a smooth transition and uninterrupted call transcription for users.
As part of the migration, Vendor Transcript Processing is enabled for your org.
Note: For processing, all calls must be transcribed. If calls are recorded without being transcribed, related records are created that don't include a transcript or insights.
For more information, see Vendor Transcript Processing in Salesforce Help.
Who’s Affected
If you turned on ECI for your org before Spring ‘26, prepare for this migration.
What actions do I need to take?
Complete these steps to ensure continuity of your ECI experience:
Review ECI Configuration: Confirm that your Einstein Conversation Insights settings are up to date.
Verify ECI Setup: Log in after your migration date to confirm that call transcripts and insights appear as expected.
If the migration for your org is unsuccessful, existing ECI data and settings remain unaffected. In the event of a migration failure, contact Salesforce Customer Support for assistance.
