Quip Export Limitation: Word Format Does Not Support Salesforce Live Apps

Users may observe the following behavior when exporting Quip documents:

  • Salesforce Live Apps (e.g., Salesforce List, Salesforce Record) are not included when exporting to Word (.docx).

  • The same document, when exported to PDF, successfully includes all Live App data.

Lösung

  1. This behavior is expected due to export format limitations:

    • Word (.docx) export supports only static content such as text and images.

    • Live Apps (e.g., Salesforce Record, Salesforce List) are not supported in Word exports.

    • Markdown does not support Live Apps, and HTML export has limited support for Live Apps.

    • Only PDF export supports rendering Live App data.

  2. To retain Salesforce Live App data, export the document using PDF format.
