Hidden Measures Appear in Default Sort Dialog for Measure Names in Tableau

To resolve this issue, follow the steps below to clear the metadata and re-configure the sort order.

1. In the Data pane, right-click the Measure Names field.
2. Select Default Properties > Clear Sort.
3. In the Data pane, right-click the measure fields that you do not want to see.
4. Select Hide.
5. In the Data pane, right-click Measure Names.
6. Select Default Properties > Sort.
7. In the Sort [Measure Names] dialog, set Sort By to Manual.
8. Arrange the remaining fields in your preferred order and click OK.
