When viewing metrics in Tableau Pulse, values may display in an abbreviated format (e.g., "802.5K" or "3.5M"). Users who want to see detailed data at the single-digit level may notice that the system does not allow for the removal of these units or the display of the full integer by default.
This is a current product limitation of Tableau Pulse. The system automatically determines number formatting, including decimals, percentage styles, and abbreviations, based on the value's magnitude.
Currently, there is no feature to completely override the automatic abbreviation behavior. However, you can use the following workaround for more detailed values.
Setting the decimal precision allows detailed digits to appear as part of the abbreviated value.
Note: Hiding the unit labels (e.g., "K", "M") within the Pulse interface is not possible at this time.
