When using Snowflake key-pair authentication, the credentials may not remain embedded in the connection. This can result in connection or authentication issues even after configuring the key-pair.
Cause: Including “https” in the Snowflake hostname prevents proper key embedding during authentication.
Follow the steps below to resolve the issue:
Delete the existing key-pair from:
My Account Settings → Saved Credentials for Data Sources → Snowflake
Re-add the key-pair credentials.
Ensure that the Snowflake hostname does not include “https” when entering it.
Test the connection after updating the hostname to confirm that the key is embedded correctly.
