Snowflake Token expires in 10 minutes

Description

The user is experiencing an issue where Tableau data extracts connected to Snowflake have tokens that are expiring after 10 minutes

Resolution

Contact Snowflake support to enable the feature flag necessary to allow for extended OAuth refresh token validity periods.
Create a support case with Snowflake asking to increase the refresh token timeout to the desired number of days for the specific integration name.
Refer to Snowflake documentation for additional optional parameters for partner applications to adjust the token expiration behavior.

The 10 minutes token expiration comes from Snowflake.

Tableau cloud cannot extend the lifetime of Snowflake token on its own.

Based on Snowflake documentation, this behaviour can be adjusted on the Snowflake side. You may want to contact Snowflake support to request the change for your account.
