Users reported receiving the error message "Something Went Wrong. Please Try Again" while accepting Service Appointments through the My Appointments widget.

Resolution

The issue was resolved by updating the configuration and following best practices:

  1. Navigate to Field Service Settings:
    • Go to Service Appointment Workflow tab
    • Open Status Transitions
  2. Add the required status transition:
    • Checked In → Scheduled
  3. Reason:
    • When both Field Service and Salesforce Scheduler are active, both validation mechanisms run.
    • Adding this transition ensures compatibility and avoids validation conflicts.
  4. Additional recommendations:
    • Use WaitlistCheckIn API for handling drop-in appointments to ensure proper record creation and event handling.
    • Review any custom Flows/Triggers on Service Appointment to avoid unintended automation conflicts.
