Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud

Salesforce has a strategic partnership with Alibaba pursuant to which Alibaba offers a suite of services built on Alibaba Cloud (“Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud”) in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau, as described in more detail here.
Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud is designed to facilitate customer compliance with applicable Chinese laws and regulations.

Customers based in Mainland China or Macau

If you're a customer based in Mainland China or Macau, you may not use Salesforce’s global services.  Instead, if you wish to use Salesforce, you may purchase Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud from Alibaba.

Customers based in Hong Kong 

If you're a customer based in Hong Kong, you  may purchase Salesforce’s global services from Alibaba (as a Salesforce reseller) for usage outside of Mainland China and Macau or you may purchase Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud from Alibaba. 

Global customers  

If you're a customer based outside of Mainland China and Macau and you have users in Mainland China or Macau, those users may not use Salesforce’s global services. Instead, you may purchase Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud from Alibaba.
