Environment

  • Tableau Desktop

  • macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel)

  • Amazon Redshift

  • Amazon Redshift ODBC Driver version 2.x

Issue

Users may experience the following symptoms if the correct driver is not installed or configured properly:

  • A prompt stating, "To use this connector, you need to download and install the driver first."

  • Inability to utilise advanced authentication methods, such as AWS IAM credentials or Identity Provider (IdP) federation.
