Use Excel's Delimited Text wizard

1. After the file is downloaded to your computer, right-click on the file and choose Open with.. and select the Compressed Folder option.

2. When prompted,select a location and click OK. This will unzip the folder it to the location chosen.

3. You should see a file named "sheet_1.csv." Do not double click on it to open the file. Instead, open Excel and go to File > Open. Browse to the location of "sheet_1.csv" and select the file.

4. When the Text Wizard dialog opens, follow these steps to parse the CSV:

• Make sure that Delimited is selected and then click Next.

• On the next page, make sure that Comma is the only checkbox selected.

• Select Text in the next prompt.

• Click the Finish button to open the file with the selected options. In the Wizard dialog, you should be able to see a preview of what your data will look like after the wizard finishes.

Save the File in Word and then Open it in Excel

Another option is to do the following:

• Open the CSV file with MS Word. A prompt automatically opens initially, just keep the default as "Unicode." You will not need to modify or change any settings here.

• Next save is as Text Only (.txt) in Word. You can save it to your desktop or in a folder on your computer.

• Open Excel and and go to File > Open. Navigate to the ".txt" file that you saved in Word and open it. The Text Import Wizard will open and you will go through the steps described above.

Opening the File on a Mac

If you are using Mac OSX, you'll need to open Excel first and then go to the Data menu and select -> Import External Data -> Import Data.

You will be able follow the wizard from then on to format the data correctly.
