Lightning Sync Retirement

Publiceringsdatum: Apr 30, 2026
Beskrivning

Salesforce will retire Lightning Sync in April 2027 and we highly recommend that you migrate to Einstein Activity Capture by that time.

Lightning Sync is a product used to sync contacts and calendar events between Salesforce and Microsoft or Google applications.

Why are we retiring Lighting Sync?

Lightning Sync’s performance does not meet the needs of many customers, especially large companies. Einstein Activity Capture is the replacement and is our long-term solution for syncing contacts, emails and events between Microsoft or Google applications and Salesforce.

What action do I need to take?

Salesforce provides a migration tool to move your Lightning Sync users to Einstein Activity Capture automatically. See Move from Lightning Sync to Einstein Activity Capture for instructions.

What happens if I don’t take action?

Contact and Calendar Event data from Microsoft or Google will not sync into Salesforce, and vice versa. Any data synced prior to the retirement into Salesforce from Microsoft or Google will still reside in Salesforce.

How can I identify users that are impacted?

Salesforce admins can look at the Lightning Sync setup pages in Setup and look at the users and profiles of users who are using Lightning Sync.
