You may get below error while updating password to your datasource connection via Rest API.
400039: Bad Request
There was a problem updating connection '33554937-xxx-xxxc-xxxx-xxxxx433e2' for workbook 'f61xxxx-xxxx-4xx1-xxx0-xxxxxxxa1c8'.. (0x5CE10192 : com.tableausoftware.api.rest.exceptions.BadRequestRestException: Authentication update is not allowed. Enable the UpdateConnectionAuthMigration feature to proceed.)
The 'authenticationType' attribute in the API call is not supported in Tableau Cloud yet, which caused the error when attempting to update the connection password.
Advise the user to exclude the 'authenticationType' attribute from their REST API request when updating the password.
Refer the user to the Tableau REST API documentation for further guidance on updating data source connections.
