Setting Up Marketing Cloud Impersonation Access for Proactive Monitoring

We require a dedicated Marketing Cloud user specifically created for Salesforce engineers. This ensures proper logging, traceability, and compliance when making configuration changes in the customer’s org.
To proceed correctly, the customer will need to create a new user and enable impersonation access for it. Below are the required steps that can be shared with them:
Step 1. Create a new user

• Follow the steps in Add a Marketing Cloud User to create a new user as below:

Username: MC-SIG-<EID>
Name: Salesforce ProS
Notification Email Address / Reply Email Address: email address of your team member managing the account

• Assign these roles:
• Administrator
• Marketing Cloud Administrator

Step 2. Enable impersonation access
Log in as the newly created user

• Follow the steps to set up MFA
• Hover over the username and select “Cloud Preferences”
• Click “Grant Account Login Access”
• Set Access Duration to 180 days (recommended) and click save
