Description
The user encountered an issue where Tableau Server was unable to connect to a MySQL database. Error messages included 'The connection to mysql had a fatal error and was disconnected' and 'Unable to connect to the MySQL server 10.68.231.163'.
Resolution

Download MYSQL Driver Version 8.33

 

Install a compatible 64-bit MySQL driver version, such as 8.0.33 and restart the VM if necessary.
