The user reported that the navigation button in Tableau Cloud was intermittently not working on the dashboard. Any filter action or go to sheet may show up greyed out and upon hovering over them gives an error message that says "You don’t have permission to view the linked content."
Potential workarounds:
Option 1
Use "show as sheets" when publishing. This will however change the layout and show all the sheets.
To fix an already-published workbook:
a. Log into Tableau Cloud or Tableau Server and navigate to the workbook's Details page
b. Select the option for "Show Tabs" in the "Tabbed views" section.
Option 2.
Refresh the Browser Page after navigating to the dashboard (F5). It will then show the buttons correctly.
Option 3
Permanently use the pictures as Image objects on the Dashboard and use the "Server URL (that is already published on the server for the other view)" in the URL to be opened. This will however open a new browser tab.
Option 4
If target worksheet is hidden, unhiding the dashboard or sheet in Web Edit or while republishing will resolve the issue.
