The user reported that in Tableau Pulse, a metric configured with an 'unfavorable' insight shows a 'Down' comparison between years as blue instead of green or red. This is unexpected behavior.
Cause:
This is intended behaviour.
The root cause of the issue is that the change in the metric is minimal, approximately 0.06 on a scale of about 98, which equates to a 0.3% difference.
This small variation does not meet the threshold required to trigger the text coloring in Tableau Pulse, which is expected behavior and not a bug.
1. Ensure that the 'Unexpected Values' insight is enabled in the metric definition editor. Navigate to the Insights tab and confirm that 'Unexpected Values' is turned on.
2. Verify that the 'Value going up is...' setting is correctly configured. Ensure that the metric is set to 'Unfavorable' if higher values are worse or 'Favorable' if lower values are worse.
3. Check the significance threshold of the metric. If the change is minor and does not meet the threshold for a significant alert, it may appear blue.
