Net Zero Cloud: Manage CSRD Report toggle is greyed out in Disclosure Report Builder Settings

Publish Date: May 27, 2026
Description

In Net Zero Cloud Setup, the Manage CSRD Report toggle under Setup > Feature Settings > Net Zero Cloud > Disclosure and Compliance Hub > Disclosure Report Builder Settings appears greyed out and cannot be selected, blocking all CSRD report configuration.

Root cause: The toggle depends on two prerequisites that must both be satisfied before it becomes interactive: the Document Generation for Net Zero Cloud CSRD feature must be enabled in Document Generation Settings, and the Document Generation User permission set must be assigned to the running admin user. When either condition is not met, the toggle renders as read-only and no error message is displayed.

Affected configuration:

  • Editions: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer with Net Zero Cloud Growth license
  • Environments: Production and sandbox orgs
  • Profile: Affects the admin user configuring Disclosure and Compliance Hub — does not affect end users
Prerequisite(s)
  • Net Zero Cloud Growth license (Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, or Developer Edition)
  • Disclosure and Compliance Hub Add-On provisioned
  • OmniStudio enabled
  • System Administrator profile
  • Document Generation User permission set available in the org (provisioned with the Disclosure and Compliance Hub Add-On)
Resolution

Complete the prerequisites in this order, then enable the Manage CSRD Report toggle.

Cause 1: Document Generation for Net Zero Cloud CSRD feature is not enabled

  1. Navigate to Setup > Feature Settings > Salesforce Document Generation > Document Generation Settings.
  2. Click New to create a Document Generation Setting record if one does not exist. Enter:
    • Label: DocumentGenerationSetting
    • Document Template Library Name [DocumentTemplateLibraryName]: DocgenDocumentTemplateLibrary
    • Preview Type [PreviewType]: PDF
    • Enable Server-Side Document Generation [EnableServerSideDocumentGeneration]: On
  3. Click Create.

Cause 2: Document Generation User permission set is not assigned to the admin

  1. Navigate to Setup > Users > Permission Sets.
  2. Click the Document Generation User permission set label.
  3. Click Manage Assignments, then click Add Assignments.
  4. Select the admin user who configures Net Zero Cloud and click Assign.
  5. Also assign the Net Zero Cloud: Disclosure and Compliance Hub User permission set to the same admin user.

Cause 3: Enable Features for CSRD has not been turned on

  1. Log out and log back in so the new permission set assignment takes effect.
  2. Navigate to Setup > Feature Settings > Net Zero Cloud > Disclosure and Compliance Hub > Disclosure Report Builder Settings.
  3. Turn on Enable Features for CSRD [EnableFeaturesForCSRD]. This activates Disclosure and Compliance Hub, Discovery Framework, Net Zero Cloud carbon accounting, OmniStudio, ESG reporting, the Disclosure and Compliance Hub plugin, and CSRD reporting components.
  4. Set the Manage CSRD Report [ManageCSRDReport] toggle to On. The toggle is now selectable.
  5. Click Save.

Confirm the fix: Reopen Setup > Feature Settings > Net Zero Cloud > Disclosure and Compliance Hub > Disclosure Report Builder Settings and verify the Manage CSRD Report toggle is enabled and saved as On, and that the CSRDv5StandardTemplate appears under App Launcher > Design Document Templates.
