Tableau View LWC Sign-In Loop With “You may close this window now” on Mobile Device

Description

On mobile devices, users were repeatedly prompted to sign in when accessing a Tableau viz embedded with the Tableau View Lightning Web Component (LWC) in the Salesforce Mobile App.

After signing in, the page remained stuck on the loading screen shown below.

If the completion window was closed, the sign-in prompt appeared again.

Cause

To use Tableau View LWC on mobile devices, users must sign in through Single Sign-On (SSO) with seamless token authentication.

Resolution
  1. Verify the Tableau View LWC mobile setup uses token-based and seamless authentication as documented. Refer to Configure Tableau Lightning Web Components and Single Sign-On (SSO) with Token Authentication.
  2. For affected iOS users, open Settings > Apps > Salesforce and enable “Allow Cross-Website Tracking". Refer to Tableau LWC single sign-on for Mobile.
Additional Resources

The sign-in loop can still occur even when token-based authentication and SSO are properly configured overall, if users have the iOS setting “Allow Cross-Website Tracking” disabled.
