Anypoint MQ Connector 4.0.15 Build Failure in Anypoint Studio: `AnypointMQMessage not present`

Publish Date: May 29, 2026
Description

When attempting to build a Mule application in Anypoint Studio that uses Anypoint MQ Connector version 4.0.15, the build fails with an error indicating a missing class.

[ERROR] Failed to execute goal org.mule.tools.maven:mule-maven-plugin:4.6.0:process-classes (default-process-classes) on project test_threadid: Execution default-process-classes of goal org.mule.tools.maven:mule-maven-plugin:4.6.0:process-classes failed: Type com.mulesoft.mq.restclient.client.mq.domain.AnypointMQMessage not present: Cannot load class 'com.mulesoft.

Resolution

CAUSE

Anypoint MQ Connector version 4.0.15 was an early release that was not fully integrated or officially supported for use within Anypoint Studio at the time of its initial availability. This version was subsequently deprecated. The build failure occurs because Anypoint Studio's build process cannot correctly resolve or load necessary classes (such as `com.mulesoft.mq.restclient.client.mq.domain.AnypointMQMessage`) from this specific connector version.

SOLUTION

Upgrade to a later, officially supported version of the Anypoint MQ Connector (e.g., 4.0.16 or newer) that is fully compatible with Anypoint Studio.
