This article describes the behavior that controls which Record Type is assigned to Work Orders when they are generated from a Maintenance Plan.
When a Maintenance Plan generates Work Orders, the owner of the work order is determined as follows:
If the default record type is --Master-- , the generated Work Orders are created with no Record Type (RecordTypeId = null).
