In Nonprofit Cloud orgs using the Accounting Subledger (ASL), the Accounting Subledger Data Processing Engine (DPE) job can fail to complete, and its DPE consumes an outsized share of the org's monthly DPE processing allotment. When the allotment is exhausted, ASL and other standard NPC DPE processes (such as Donor Gift Summaries) also fail to run.
Symptoms include:
Root cause: on large Accounting Sets, the ASL DPE hits a memory/processing ceiling, and repeated failed or oversized runs draw down the monthly DPE allotment. The relevant lever is the memory factor on the Accounting Set definition, which governs how much processing capacity a run is allowed. Simply increasing the monthly allotment does not address the underlying ceiling.
