If you are unable to update an existing Data Transform in Data Cloud because the changes cannot be saved, you may encounter the following error after editing the transform. This issue is typically related to Event Time Field and Primary Key validation requirements during the save process.

"We hit a snag"

Løsning

To resolve this issue, please follow these steps provided below:

 

  1. Verify that the transform output includes at least one Text field that can be selected as the Primary Key for the Engagement DLO.
  2. Verify that the transform output includes at least one DateTime field, such as a created date field, that can be used as the Event Time Field.
  3. After adding or updating the required field types, refresh the configuration and confirm that the Event Time Field and Primary Key dropdowns are populated and available for selection.
  4. If the Primary Key dropdown remains unavailable or unresponsive, save the DLO configuration first, then return to the Data Transform setup and attempt to save the Data Transform again without clicking on Check Syntax on the transform.

Once the required field types are configured correctly and the fields are selected, the Data Transform should save successfully.
