Deprecated Permission Set Licenses in Summer ‘26 (Release – Employee Services & IT Service Management

In the Summer ‘26 release, Salesforce deprecated six Permission Set Licenses (PSLs) that were introduced in releases Winter ‘26 and Spring ‘26 to support Platform Users (AUL and CBP_AUL license types) in Employee Services (ES) and IT Service Management (ITSM) products. 
These PSLs are no longer needed because HR and IT Service products now natively support Platform Users through the Unified Employee Licensing (UEL) model.

Customers currently assigned these deprecated PSLs will lose access to associated features and entities unless they migrate to the equivalent UEL-based PSLs listed in this article.

• Affected Users: Existing customers who were assigned any of the deprecated PSLs introduced in releases Spring ‘26 or Winter ‘26.

• License Types Affected: AUL , CBP_AUL

Issue 

After upgrading to Summer ‘26, users assigned any of the deprecated PSLs listed below may experience:

• Loss of access to Employee Services or IT Service Management features

• Missing access to previously available entities (objects) and record types

• Functional breakage in workflows that depend on the deprecated permissions
  
  

Deprecated PSL to New UEL-Based PSL Mapping

Replace each deprecated PSL with its corresponding UEL-based PSL as shown in the table below.

Note: All six replacement PSLs natively support AUL and CBP_AUL (Platform User) license types.
