Tableau Desktop 2025.3.5+ Crashes on macOS Tahoe during Display Transition

Description
A user reported that Tableau Desktop crashes after the Mac locks due to inactivity or when the laptop screen is closed, causing the open dashboard or workbook to close and require recovery on restart. The issue continued after upgrading to Tableau Desktop 2026.1 and was reported on macOS Tahoe 26.5.
Resolution

A Bug item has been raised and is in investigation

Workaround

Downgrade to Tableau Desktop 2025.3.4, which is the last known version not affected by this issue.
