Mapping Custom Fields from the OrderAddress Object to Order Management

Publish Date: Jun 12, 2026
Description

In Salesforce Order Management (SOM), for customers using B2C, the Buyer Address on Order (aka OrderAddress object in B2C) can be mapped to the Account (including Person Account) and Contact objects in core.

If Person Accounts are being used than the B2C contact will be mapped to the Account object. So the custom attribute that was created in B2C on the OrderAddress object for example testAttribute will need a corresponding custom field on the Account object in core named testAttribute__c.

Considerations:

  • SOM will not map to the person account custom fields with naming structure __pc, only the __c naming structure.
  • The integration between B2C and SOM will not map to BOTH the Account & Contact objects, just the relevant one depending on the Person Account setup.
