When migrating a Connected App to an External Client App (ECA) in Salesforce, the Refresh Token IP Allowlist values configured on the original Connected App are not automatically carried over to the new External Client App. A Connected App is a framework that allows an external application to integrate with Salesforce using APIs and standard protocols. An External Client App (ECA) is the newer, more flexible replacement for Connected Apps introduced in recent Salesforce releases.
This is a known issue that is scheduled to be fixed in an upcoming release. Until the fix is available, use the workaround in the Resolution section to manually apply Refresh Token IP Allowlist values to your External Client App.
To apply Refresh Token IP Allowlist values to your External Client App after migration from a Connected App, follow these steps:
