Service Catalog Request Extended Attribute Value are not getting created even after Service Request is Created

Publish Date: Jun 15, 2026
Description

After filling out and submitting a Service Catalog form, you may notice that the Service Catalog Request Extended Attribute Values (SvcCatalogReqExtdAttrVal) are not created, even though the Service Request records are successfully generated.

The ECM Service Catalog Attributes Section will be empty

Resolution
Ensure that the External and Internal Organisation-Wide Defaults (OWD) for the following objects are set to at least Read Only:

  1. Navigate to Setup → Sharing Settings.
  2. Set Public Read Only permissions for the following objects:
    • Product2
    • Catalog
    • Product Configuration Flow
    • Product Configuration Flow Parameter
    • Product Component Group
    • Product Component Group Override
    • Product Related Component Override
    • Omni Process --> This object is not available for some orgs so you can ignore if this is not available
    • Service Process Layout Section

Once these sharing settings are updated, the extended attribute values should be created as expected upon Service Process submission.
