Users are getting the error when Submitting the Service Process form

Users encounter the following errors when submitting a Service Process / Catalog Item from the portal:

  • An unhandled fault has occurred in this flow
  • INSUFFICIENT_ACCESS_ON_CROSS_REFERENCE_ENTITY
Ratkaisu
The errors are caused by insufficient sharing settings on key objects. The user or guest lacks the minimum required access to cross-reference related records during form submission.

Step 1 — Fix Organisation-Wide Defaults (OWD)

Navigate to Setup → Sharing Settings and Set atleast Public Read Only for the following objects in both External and Internal OWD:

Note: The Omni Process object may not be available in all orgs. If it's not visible, you can safely skip it.

Step 2 — Verify User Object Permissions

Ensure the submitting user has atleast Read, Create, and Edit permissions on the following objects:
  • Service Catalog Request
  • Service Request
