Email Sync may fail after migrating to "Sync Email as Salesforce Activity" in legacy organizations that enabled Einstein Activity Capture before 2022.
These organizations used a legacy Einstein Activity Capture setup that did not require sync configurations to capture emails from connected Google or Microsoft mailboxes. Users could connect either a Google account or a Microsoft account to capture emails through Einstein Activity Capture settings without configuring Email Sync.
Please verify your org meets the conditions above. To fix the email sync issue, follow these steps.
Selecting 180 days for the Email Sync filter during configuration (Step 5) allows each synced user to import up to 50,000 historical emails from the preceding 180-day period.
Refer to Emails and Einstein Activity Capture for additional guidelines.
