Why Can't I See Automatic Migration Date for Sync Email as Salesforce Activity?

Salesforce is automatically migrating eligible orgs from Einstein Activity Capture (EAC) to Sync Email as Salesforce Activity. This article explains how and when your org's migration date is determined, and what to expect leading up to the migration.

Why Can't I Get My Migration Date in Advance?
 
Each org's migration date is dynamically assigned by the Salesforce backend at the time the org is identified as eligible for auto-migration. The date is not pre-scheduled or available ahead of the eligibility determination — it is based on:
  • Your org's Einstein Activity Capture 'Monthly Active Users' (MAU) count
  • The date your org is recognized as an auto-migration eligible org
Because of this dynamic assignment process, Salesforce Support is unable to provide a migration date before your org has been identified as eligible.

How Will I Know My Migration Date?
Once your org is recognized as eligible, you will be notified in two ways:
  1. In-app Banner — A banner and a Setup Wizard card will appear in your EAC Setup page displaying your exact migration date.
  2. Email Notification — An email will be sent to all Org Admins with the migration date and details.

 

FAQs:

I do not see the auto-migration banner in my Org.
=> If you do not see the banner in your EAC Setup page, your org has not yet been scheduled for auto-migration. For the Orgs, actively using Activity 360 Reporting, Activity Metrics, Activities Dashboard, the Auto-Migration is scheduled in Feb-March 2027 (safe harbor)

 
How will the EAC auto-migration email notification look?
=> The email will be similar to: "This is a reminder that your org is scheduled to be automatically migrated to Sync Email as Salesforce Activity on {Migration Date} — that's in 15/21 days."
 
How much notice will I get?
=> The notice period depends on your org's EAC MAU count. Auto-migration notice period by org size:
 
≤ 50 MAU15 days
> 50 MAU21 days
> 1000 MAU21 days + White Glove Support
 
 
What happens if I do not action until after the scheduled date/time is reached?
=> If no action is taken within the notice window, migration will be performed automatically on the scheduled date. It will migrate the historical captured emails for last 180 days, by default or depending on the Org's Data Retention policy.
 
Can I Migrate Before My Scheduled Date?
=> Yes! You can complete the migration yourself at any time before the scheduled date from EAC Setup. Migrating early does not change the experience — it simply lets you get started sooner.
