Metadata Cache Remains in Validation Completed Status and Does Not Become Active in Life Sciences Cloud

Kuvaus

When generating a Metadata Cache in Life Sciences Cloud, the cache record may remain in the Validation Completed status indefinitely and never transition to Active. As a result, mobile users may be unable to synchronize updated metadata.

Administrators may also encounter validation errors similar to the following:

" [DBSchema]: DeviceSyncTransactionRecord DBSchema configuration is not assigned to required profiles. Missing Profiles: Sales."

This behavior occurs when validation errors are present in the cache record. A common cause is a DBSchema configuration that has not been assigned to all required profiles. The Metadata Cache generation process will not proceed to the Active state until all validation errors are resolved.

Ratkaisu
  1. Open the Metadata Cache record that failed to activate.
  2. Review the Validation Errors section for any reported issues.
  3. If the error indicates missing DBSchema profile assignments:
    • Navigate to Admin Console > Mobile > Object Metadata Cache Configuration.
    • Locate the DBSchema record identified in the validation error.
    • Add the missing profile assignments.
  4. If the profile selection interface does not display all required profiles:
    • Use Data Loader to add the missing profiles directly to the LifeSciMetadataRecord object.
  5. After resolving all validation errors, regenerate the Metadata Cache.

Once all validation issues have been addressed, the cache should successfully transition to the Active status.
