ITSM: CMDB might be seen in a locked state under CMDB setup

Description

System admins who are setting up CMDB (Configuration Management Database) might see that CMDB is locked under setup.

Steps to Navigate: 

  • Go to setup
  • Search for CMDB 
  • User might see that CMDB is locked and unable to Toggle ON
Résolution

When this occurs, improper CMDB provisioning could be the root cause. To resolve such scenarios, follow the below steps:

  • Go to setup
  • Search for Provisioning Settings
  • Try re-provisioning the CMDB 

Once the provisioning is successful, navigate back to CMDB under setup, you shall see that CMDB is now unlocked.

NOTE: If you continue to face the issue even after re-provisioning, please raise a Salesforce Support Ticket.
